These guidelines describe how people are expected to behave when contributing stories, comments or other content to RegionalOZ. They exist so that the platform stays useful and safe for people making significant life decisions.
1. Respectful participation
Treat other contributors and readers with respect. Disagreement is welcome; contempt is not. Content that demeans people on the basis of nationality, ethnicity, religion, disability, age, gender or sexuality is not permitted.
2. No harassment
Do not target individuals with abuse, threats, sustained unwanted contact or the publication of their personal details. This includes content that identifies someone who has not consented to being identified.
3. No misleading migration advice
Do not present yourself as a migration professional unless you are registered, and do not tell other people what visa they qualify for. Share your own experience and encourage readers to confirm requirements with official sources.
Claims about outcomes, processing times or agreement terms that cannot be substantiated will be edited or removed.
4. No impersonation
Do not pose as another person, a government agency, a registered agent or a RegionalOZ team member.
5. No scams or solicitation abuse
Recruitment fees, guaranteed-visa offers, paid placement promises and unsolicited promotion of migration services are not permitted in community contributions.
6. Protection of personal information
Do not publish other people’s contact details, documents, addresses or immigration records. Contributors may share their own experience but should avoid details that identify family members without permission.
7. Reporting concerns
If you see content that breaches these guidelines, report it through the contact page with a link and a short description. Reports are reviewed confidentially.
8. Moderation principles
Moderation aims to be consistent and proportionate. Content may be edited for clarity or privacy, hidden pending review, or removed where it breaches these guidelines.
Contributors will normally be told why content was moderated and may ask for a review. Repeat breaches may result in removal from community features.
Questions or requests
Written enquiries can be directed through the contact page. Formal contact addresses, entity details and jurisdiction clauses will be confirmed before publication.
